Captured in the cold clean waters of the Northeast Atlantic Ocean, the Gadus morhua, the raw material Constantinos’ codfish, is imported directly from the best producers from Norway and Iceland. Furthermore, it is exclusively from legal catches following the international rules of sustainable fishing.
Because they are wild individuals, caught in the sea, they are free of GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). The process of salting and drying preserves all the nutritional characteristics of fresh fish, providing the end user with a high quality feed.
The salt used in the product processing is exclusively virgin salt sea and can be perfectly used in our food.
1. Wash your steaks or loins in cold running water;
2. Soak always in cold water (preferably refrigerated);
3. During the first hour change the water 2 or 3 times;
4. During the remaining timechange the water 2 times a day;
5. During the soaking keep the codfish at the bottom of your refrigerator;
6. The total duration of soaking depends on the thickness of codfish and on your personal taste; nevertheless, verify that the pieces hve significantly increased thickness and regained a smooth consistency.
